Christmas Magic is in the Air!!!

4 Days before Christmas, My favorite Holiday and it is also my mother's birthday, she will be celebrating her birthday in Heaven for the second year. I do miss her a lot. She loves to get 2 presents, 1 for Christmas and 1 for her Birthday:), Speaking of presents, mine are all ready and sitting under the Christmas tree. I wrapped the last one just yesterday due to shipping delay. But I am all excited for my kids (which are now Adults) and my husband (the hardest person to shop for ) to open their presents. Every year there will be a silly/funny present that I will wrap separately for each one of my children. Seeing them all together, smiling, laughing makes me very happy, it's priceless the best gift I get every Christmas. I hope that we will share this moments for more years to come.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

Who loves Dragons?

Who loves Dragons?  Dragons are the most popular of the world's mythological creatures. They are a symbol of courage and strength, also of joy and happiness. Dragon tales are known in many cultures around the World. Do you believe they are real? I think they are cool, full of mystery, whether they are real or not. I do however have some pretty awesome Knitted Dragon pattern and they are Free  that I found on Ravelry , and of course Gift Ideas from the store. Check them out:)

Gift giving jewelry pouch

Happy Monday! Have you started your Christmas shopping or are you all done ? I'm  not quite done yet and still need to do some gift wrapping, I think that is the most fun part for me. I feel that gift wrapping a gift is a gift in itself, does that make sense. For me when I see a gift that's beautifully wrapped, it makes me feel special, it doesn't matter what is inside. Now, beautiful does not mean all glitters, expensive wrappers, big bows and all that jazz. It could be as simple as wrapped in a recycled craft paper. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I try to make my gifts festive and colorful. This year since I had opened an Online Store, I have bracelets and bangles, that I thought would be nice gift wrapped in a cute gift pouches, look up some online but could not find anything that I like so I decided  to knit one instead, since I have so much left over yarn from different projects. So I just started knitting, tried several times, below is what I came up with.Simple but looks pretty enough to put some jewelry and any goodies in it, the pouch can be used for something else by the recipient. I have included the pattern, so you can also make one or two. Also some gift giving ideas from my Online Store, I would greatly appreciate it if you visit and check it out.

 GIFT GIVING POUCH
Yarn: I used Caron Simply Soft (White and Red)
Needle Size: US 4 Circular

Pattern:
Cast on 48 sts
Knit in the round, careful not to twist.
R1,3 and 5 : *k1,p1* repeat till the end
R2,4 and 6:  *p1,k1*repeat till end
R7: Knit around
Repeat Round 7 (30X) or  until your desired length, I knitted mine 5 inches.
Carefully turn work inside out.
Close the bottom of the pouch using the 3 needle bind off.
Weave in ends.
Thread a ribbon or an I- cord (12" can be longer if you have bigger pouch) through the yarn over holes for drawstring.
Now you can put your goodies inside the Pouch. Enjoy:)

I'm Back!

I can't believe it has been 7 years to the day since my last post, time goes by fast. I remember creating this blog to document my  knitting projects and just blab about things, I still knit almost everyday. I wish I had never stop posting as I had so many projects that I have completed. Life got in the way :)

I was going to create another blog since I have opened an Online store Rogelia's Korner Boutique so I could promote my products but I decided to recover this blog and change the name from Knit with Leng to Rogelia's Korner. I will be posting about the items in the store and of course knitting.  Please visit and check it out .

My last post was about What are you thankful for? For me , nothing has change I am still thankful for having a loving family, special friends, quiet nights, good food and yarn, however I am also  thankful for my health.  Like I said not much of a change but a lot of things happened the last 7 years. I will be sharing some of them in my future post.

But for now  I would like to share what i have been knitting in the last few days.

This Wine beanies are so adorable.  I have made more of them in different colors. I think  that It will give a little Holiday spirit when gifting a bottle of wine. The pattern is available for free.
